Timber Framed Hall study
Watercolour on paper 8 x 6 inches approx
About the picture
Another study for an oil painting that never got painted
Artist’s notes
I can’t remember exactly where the house was, but it was somewhere near Warwick, England.
As usual with a timber framed house I like the geometrical arrangement of the timbers and the starkly contrasting coloured patterns they made.
Watercolours are great for studies and can be carried around easily in a tin.
